John Harmon

As the founding officer of HDC in 1994, John possesses more than 30 years of diverse experience in all aspects of construction and real estate development. His early career as a field laborer and site superintendent ignited his interest in project management.

John has extensive experience in program management, owner representation, investor capital management, construction management, site development entitlements, environmental agency negotiations and remediation, and purpose-built facilities. He has partnered with a wide variety of clients in corporate, educational, not-for-profit, government, sports, and entertainment sectors. This experience affords John a keen understanding of the complexities and demands typical for projects of all types.

As a principal, John works closely with the HDC and client teams to ensure the quality and successful implementation of the project.

John holds a B.S. in Economics from the University of Maryland and an M.S. in Real Estate Development from the Johns Hopkins University. He serves on the board of several local organizations and is active in community service.
