John N. Mills

As a principal since 1997, John brings a lifetime of experience to HDC. He has worked as a laborer, carpenter, site superintendent, estimator, and as a senior executive of a mid-size general contractor. Prior to partnering with John Harmon, he operated his own business that focused on real estate development and project management.

John works with all HDC team members in every aspect of the business. He is a key resource, particularly in the areas of project feasibility, contracting strategies and procurement, budgeting, scheduling, construction quality assurance, long-term planning for clients, and value engineering efforts.

John’s understanding of complex engineering and construction procedures coupled with his sound technical skills enable him to handle any construction issue. This expertise has proven to be invaluable to HDC’s clients, including those in the technology, pharmaceutical, sports, education and corporate world headquarters sectors.

John studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Maryland.
